Historically associated with Javanese nobility and people of high social standing, the Joglo was more than a residence — its architecture represented dignity, status and grace. At its heart stand the four principal columns known as the Soko Guru, supporting the soaring central roof. Above them, the layered timber structure of the Tumpang Sari creates a dramatic sense of height and grandeur, one of the most recognisable signatures of classical Javanese architecture.
